Welcome to Portraits at DCA Photography. Where you will experience a unique portrait session in your home or on location. Imagine having your portrait taken with your car, pet, or a special item that expresses your individual personality in an environment familiar to you.

THE SESSION

All portrait sessions are photographed on-location. The location for your portrait will be at the discretion of DCA Photography. The portrait session can last up to three hours. A creation fee must be paid two weeks in advance to hold your scheduled appointment. Creation fees are nonrefundable for a missed appointment. There are two types of sessions available for your portrait.

The first option is a studio setup using strobe lighting in your home. A pleasing area of your home or a painted muslin backdrop will be used to create the mood for your portrait. The creation fee for a studio setup indoors is $125.

The second option is a portrait session taken outdoors using natural daylight. An outdoor portrait will allow for the creative use of the surroundings such as artistic use of architecture to add to your portrait. A few examples of outdoor portraits might be a family posed on a fence in a wooded area or a child playing in a flower garden. The creation fee for a natural light session is $75. When choosing an outdoor location please take into consideration the light quality throughout the day. A more pleasing result in your session normally will occur when the sun is not directly overhead.

CLOTHING

Second to your smile is your choice of clothing. Having the right style and color for your environment will help to achieve a successful portrait. A clothing consultation will be available upon booking your portrait session.

VIEWING ORIGINALS

Once the session is complete a date will be set for viewing the originals of your portrait session. Normally, 7 – 10 days are needed for the preparation of the originals. It is important to consider how your portrait will be used or displayed (framed) when placing your enlargement order. Enlargement portrait collections and ala Carte purchases can be made. Gift Folio order forms will also be provided for your consideration.

Orders placed within 14 days of the viewing date will receive a 20% discount. If it is necessary for the originals to be kept in your possession past the viewing date a deposit of $50 will be required and will be applied to your order. Orders and originals must be returned to DCA Photography within 21 days of delivery. Originals are used to determine facial expression and pose only. Color corrections will be taken care of in the final image. Originals will remain the property of DCA Photography.

COPYRIGHT

Federal copyright law protects all professional photographic images. No image may be reproduced, distributed, or altered by any method without the express written consent of DCA Photography.

LARGE FORMAT PRINTING

Large format full color poster printing is available. The print pricing is $12 per square foot. Gloss or Mat Laminating is available at $4 per square foot. There is also mounting applications like Foam Core and PVC Cintra available for an additional charge.

High School Seniors

Do you want a Unique Senior Portrait? You don’t have to settle for the standard senior session. You do have an option this year! Imagine your senior portrait that includes your car, your musical instrument, your sports gear, or a unique possession that highlights your individual personality.

To make your senior portrait truly unique, choose DCA Photography to create your image with an outdoor and/or indoor studio session. For a $75 session fee you can be photographed outdoors on location* and with studio lights. This session includes three to four hours of photography and three to four clothing changes.

Seniors may choose to be photographed in a studio setting or the *outdoors for a $35 session fee. This photographic session includes one to two hours of photographic service and one to two clothing changes.

Senior sessions should be photographed at least two months before the school yearbook deadline. This will ensure delivery of what is required for your school.

A minimum order of fifty dollars will be required when placing your senior order. And any digital retouching or manipulation will be an additional fee.

Five Generation
