| My husband and I got married on May 19, 2007. Colleen was recommended to us through a mutual friend. After meeting with her, she was the first and only vendor we looked into. We knew from meeting Colleen and seeing her beautiful work that she was going to make our day very special. This she did indeed. Colleen was always there for me when I needed clarification, had a question or request. |
She was very outgoing, easy to work with and a great friend. When my special day arrived I didn't have to worry about one detail with the photography. Colleen was great! She has a way of making everyone laugh, not be so uptight about pictures and have a good time. It didn't stop at the wedding, Colleen and I have continued our friendship since the wedding. I plan to work with her for upcoming children photos, family reunions, etc. Thanks so much for making our day very special Colleen! |

I had a wonderful experience with Colleen's Photography! She was able to capture the true essence of my special day in such a way! When I look back at my pictures I feel that I am right back there. Colleen and I hit it off right from the get go (our first telephone conversation) I just knew that we would be a perfect fit. She was knowledgable, friendly, and incredibly helpful.
Another thing that I LOVED about Colleen was that I was able to enjoy my day as she went around and did her job. She was not in my face asking me to pose or setting every picture up. |
She was so professional that I hardly knew I was even having my picture taken. I had an extreamly difficult time trying to decide what pictures I would choose for my wedding album beacause I loved so many of them!
Overall, I had an amazing experience and would use Colleen again and again for any special occasion! I would also easily recommend her to anyone needing a professional photographer. |

Colleen’s prices were VERY reasonable and the quality of work is better than expected. Out of the whole album of proofs there were only a handful that my husband and I were not 100% happy with; that was only due to the fact that they were not our style. The only down side is it was VERY hard to pick out just a few to go in the coffee table album. While taking the pictures she treats you like a friend which makes the pictures turn out even better because you feel very comfortable around her. She laughs and joins in the fun with you but keeps her distance so you don't even know she is there taking the pictures (for a while I thought she left my wedding but when I received the pictures I saw all the wonderful shots she had taken while I wasn't looking).

Before the wedding meeting with her is a great experience too. She listens to what you want for your wedding...she understands it is YOUR day! She doesn't push you to get the biggest package, I went with the smallest and she was just glad she could help capture our wedding day memories.
I highly recommend you at least take a look at her website and ask to meet with her to show you some more of her work. If you say no to her services she won't act offended and try to sales talk you back in. |

Colleen was fantastic. She does a great job at capturing moments rather than creating them. We were free to just enjoy our wedding day instead of stopping to pose for everything. She is very fun and personable, and made my stubborn flower girl smile. She was a blast to work with. |

| I got married at the Hiland in Queensbury, NY and Colleen was my photographer. She was actually recommended to me by the Hiland and when I met with her I knew she was who I was going to choose. Colleen did an amazing job!! The pictures she took are priceless and I couldn't have made a better choice. She is friendly, funny, but all in all an amazing photographer. The turn around time on pictures and albums was great and everything was perfect when it arrived. My wedding album and parent albums came out AWESOME and I constantly get compliments on them. Colleen is very professional and has a great sense of humor. |
She kept everything running smoothly and we had a lot of fun during the entire time. She arrived at my sister’s house prior to the wedding, took pictures throughout the church ceremony, and remained at the reception taking pictures until it was just about over. There wasn’t a moment she didn’t capture on film. I don’t know how to tell you this without being blunt - If you don’t choose Colleen then I would be worried because no one is as good all around as she is! She is does terrific work and you can completely trust in her. I recommend her to everyone I know and I always will. She should be your choice so you have one less worry on your wedding day. I just cannot say enough about Colleen. From the minute my husband and I met her, we knew she would be perfect. And she was. On the day of the wedding, her laid-back but professional style is just what we needed. It was clear to me that she knew just what she was doing. When we received the pictures back from the wedding, we were totally thrilled. It was as if we were living the day all over again through the amazing shots she took. | Colleen was an outstanding photographer! She took some amazing photos! I love that her services were economical, but you got so much more than you paid for. Most photgraphers only take an exact number of pictures and then call it a day. Collen did not limit herself to an exact number of proofs, so that there was not a moment lost due to picture limits. She had great artisitic vision in capturing the many special moments. I love that not only did she take the more formal shots, but did many outstanding candids. She also had great ideas for poses, we were not left wondering what to do next. |
I, like most women, am not real pleased with the way that I look in pictures...but out of the HUNDREDS of pictures that Colleen took, there were only one or two that I did not think were just absolutely perfect! The hardest part was trying to narrow down the number of proofs that I chose to be blown up into 8x10s for the wedding album - there were just so many WONDERFUL pitctures to choose from! Colleen was also fun to be around! She made the tediousness of posing for pictures, fun and interesting. If I did not live two hours away, I would book her services for all of my life's big events. I, without question recommend her with the highest level of enthusiasm!! |

I could go on for ages about how much my husband and I loved Colleen. She was truly the pinnacle of professionalism, and was by far the professional we hired that we liked the best. I heard of Colleen because my best friend had already hired her for her own wedding (June 2005). She originally chose her because her prices were so reasonable comparable to other photographers she looked into. However, upon meeting Colleen, Lisa called me to tell me that I just had to meet her also.
My husband and I hit it off with Colleen right away, before even meeting her in person. She had such a sense of humor, that it was refreshing not to deal with yet another stick-in-the-mud wedding professional. She immediately made me feel at ease and feel comfortable that the photography was one less thing I had to micromanage because she was more than competant. We met Colleen at her home office, where we discussed package options and reviewed examples of her work. We were also able to get a sense of her personality and her ability as a photographer. I left that night feeling a huge sense of relief and gratitude that we'd found someone we clicked so well with. She was also very flexible about making substitutions in our package. My husband comes from a family where his biological mother and father separated and remarried when he was young, so there are a huge number of people to keep track of. Colleen asked us to make a list of important photographs we wanted with specific people that diverged from the norm. She also provided us with a list of photos she takes at every wedding so we wouldn't feel the need to come up with every possible shot we wanted her to take. She was extremely well organized. She also made it a point to keep in touch frequently between the time we booked her and the day of the wedding for multiple reasons: she wanted to make sure I didn't have any questions, and she genuinely cared about how I was handling the pressure of planning the rest of it (there were only 6 months between our engagement and our wedding, and there were 230 guests, so there was a lot to do in a short amount of time). She made me feel more relaxed and offered to help in any way she could, even with things that were out of her forte, such as finding a DJ. (In retrospect, I wish we'd let her choose our DJ - we went with a family friend, and ended up being forced to do the Funky Chicken with a ridiculous hat on. Needless to say, I wasn't nearly as happy with our DJ as I was with our photographer).

On the day of the wedding, she arrived at the pre-determined location about half an hour earlier than she needed to, just to make sure she could find the place ok. This was great, as my parents live in the middle of nowhere. While the ladies were getting ready, she was friendly and had us all at ease and laughing, which is a feat in itself hours before a wedding. She then went to my husband's grandparents' house to shoot the guys. There, her car got stuck in the mud, so like a trooper, she just rode in the limo with the guys to make sure they were at the wedding on time, and they all had a great time.
Throughout the night, she would come up to my husband and I and make sure there were no shots she was missing, or shots that we could come up with on the spot. She was ALWAYS in the right place at the right time, as evidenced by the proof album we received.
We got our proof album back a few weeks (3 or 4?) after the wedding, and were stunned by the number of pictures she took (over 400). In addition, they were all fantastic! It was almost as if she'd read our minds and took all the shots we were looking for. There were even some artistic shots that we didn't even know she was taking that turned out beautifully.
Colleen was more than accomodating, and has a tremendous talent as a photographer. More than that, she's a wonderful person to be around, and has such people skills. She is able to read individualls and fit in with all types of people (i.e. great-grandma to the flower girl to the drunken bridesmaid about to do a strip tease). I highly recommend her work, her professionalism is unmatched, and her company is extremely enjoyable. I plan on using Colleen for all future situations where I'd need a professional photographer. |

Colleen's Photography was the best vendor we booked for our wedding! Colleen was very professional but easy-going enough to keep my nerves at ease that day. Her photos were absolutely beautiful and we had the luxury of struggling over which ones to pick for our final album. She is a BARGAIN considering what we paid and the quality of the photos. She didn't miss a single request and her attention to detail was flawless. We have since used her for a family portrait session and I guarantee Colleen will be there to capture all of the important moments in our family for years to come! |

Colleen, I can understand what future brides are going through right now trying to find a photographer for their wedding day. When I got married , it was very stressful to find someone you could trust to take the pictures you want and for the price you are looking for.
When I called you I was so relieved, your prices were definitely reasonable and I did call other places.
You were great to work with and actually made this stressful job, a lot of fun. Talking to you became more of a social thing then a professional issue.
Over our several phone calls we became friends and learned a lot about each other!

On our wedding day you made taking pictures a blast! You did it quickly and made it fun. I remember after my wedding my wedding party and guests saying how much they liked you.
You took all of the pictures I requested even the ones out in the rain and cold! I couldn't wait to see our pictures once we came back from our honeymoon and I was so happy to hear from you that they were available so quickly.
We received our pictures in no time at all. When I opened the box and saw that album that you put them in I was ecstatic!
The album was beautiful with our names engraved on it. All of the pictures came out beautiful, we were happy with every one. It made it hard to pick out which ones we wanted more of! |
